The Didgelander |
|
The Didglander is a device that has been created to offer a portable didgeridoo stand with an included, adjustable microphone stand. It has been crafted to solve three main inconveniences in a didge player's life:
1, Keeps your instrument save and clean by placing its bell-end on a soft leather belt. Protects the place of your performance / workshop against the condensed moisture dropping from a bell-end by the included piece of carpet.
2, Ensure choosen distance between instrument and recorder / microphone by using a sliding holder including a brass locking screw. Provides excellent options for experimenting with recording setups. Thanks to the leather belt, vibrations from the didgeridoo are not transferred to your recording device, so they do not affect the mic's membrane or its housing.
3, This portable recording studio is quickly pack-able into a handsome box with the following dimensions: 10 x 11 x 24 cm (approx. 4 x 4 x 9.5 in), weighing some 1225 g (approx. 2.7 lbs). It is made out of natural materials such as Alder-tree and leather, coated with layers of shellac and oil-wax. It is hand-crafted in cooperation with craftspeople local to our village. Each piece is therefore original and might slightly differ in appearance. Original Idea comes from "Swiss Dan Design".
The package provides space for your portable microphone (not included!): ca. 8 x 16 x 3.5 cm (approx 3 1/8 x 6 1/3 x 1 3/8 in), fitting e.g. a TASCAM DR 100
